PRIVACY POLICY

We store a number.

This is a real privacy policy for a fictional organization. The organization is a joke. Your privacy is not.

WHAT WE COLLECT

  • The hit counter. When you load the front page, a counter goes up by one. We store the number. We do not store who you are, where you came from or what you did. Dennis reads the number aloud.
  • Forms. If you use the contact form or sign the guestbook, we store what you typed (name, hometown or subject, message) and the time. To stop robots we check each submission with a challenge service and we remember your network address for one minute so you cannot send twice in that minute. The address is not kept with your message and is gone after the minute.
  • Nothing else. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no social buttons that phone home. The advertisements on the front page are pictures. The "switch to new site" preference, when it exists, will be stored in your own browser only.

WHO SEES IT

The website is served by a content delivery network, which keeps the ordinary server logs any website host keeps (addresses, pages requested, times) for its own operation and security. Our staff (Dennis) reads form submissions. Approved guestbook entries are public, which is what a guestbook is for.

COOKIES

We set none. The challenge service that checks forms for robots may set its own during the check. Our counter does not need one.

YOUR CHOICES

Do not fill in the forms and we store nothing about you but the number. To have a guestbook entry or message removed, ask through the contact page and say which one. We do not print an email address anywhere on this site and we never send mail to an address typed into a form.

CHILDREN

This site is not directed at children, and the guestbook is not for them.
